Common files is corrupt.

I have looked up this issue, this is my last resort.
I have a window 7 home premium service pack 1
32 bit.

I looked at your help page and did the steps. This is what comes up.
Yes, I clicked the auto repair on other attempts however this didn't work after restarting due to this screen here:
What cause this?
Not pointing the finger but there was 4 downloads I had on that day: (Not sure if this was the issue, it seems like it's likely in my opinion)
2 minecraft mods: (minecraft is a game, www.minecraft.net)
The mods are both client mods. You install the mods by opening the minecraft.jar with winwar and drag the new classes to the jar.
The mods were Auto join and toggle sneak and sprint

The other 2 downloads were updates from you:
Removal tool
Not sure on the other.

The story on how it started:
I had a notification saying there was a update, so I updated the 2 updates, rebooted.
After that I saw hamatchi was taking 9 on my cpu, I don't really use it so I opened up control panel and uninstalled it.
Launched minecraft.exe and in the bottom right I got a notification from my pc saying common files is corrupted run chkdsk I did, and got this.
The repair doesn't work due to what I said above.

I would be really  happy if this issue could be dealt with ASAP, I use visual basics a lot and it's now un-usable, same with MS office 2007.

I can't use any MS product or adobe product and my anti-virus isn't working properly due to the important data file being in there.

Windows\system32\config\system file missing or corrupt

Follow the steps and check if it helps.

a. Click on Start, Run.

b. Type cmd in the run box.

c. Go to the location of copy c:\windows\system32\config in cmd and type dir and see whether system exists there or not.

Usually, in all OEM [Original Equipment Manufacturer] computers, system Registry Hive will be displayed as system.bak and not system. Hence type the below command instead of the one you are trying and check if you get the error.

copy c:\windows\system32\config\system.bak c:\window\tmp\system.bak

Issue 2: The computer doesn't recognize the disk

Try running the fix it tool from the below article and check.

Hey, thanks for the response I can't do method 1 due to the certain files being corrupt.
I have done step 2 and would like to know what the path to this is:
2013-03-07 20:53:03, Info                  CSI    00000031 [SR] Cannot verify component files for d688f6f6283c735d24fe4a3e697e6823, Version = 6.1.7601.17641, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_INTEL (0), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral, manifest is damaged (TRUE)

Yes, you can:
  1. Use your Windows Repair CD to boot the machine into Repair Mode.
  2. Use System Restore to set Windows back to a date when the machine worked as it should.

Thanks, I would prefer to use method 2 as my pc is still usable and I pretty much use it everyday so it would cause more inconviences.

And I can't do method one, the boot screen goes blue, nothing else happens this isn't much of a issue as I don't plan of resetting all of my pc.

It seems you misunderstand the workings of "System Restore". You are probably thinking of "Factory Restore". I recommend you click Start, then Help, then look for help on "System Restore" to see what exactly it will and will not do.

It seems I know what I'm on about, I shall explain:

I can't do a system restore due to this
I can't do anything to do with the boot menu due it it blue screen-ing, I don't want to do a factory restore (which I can't do)

The solution seems obvious:
  1. Use your Windows Repair CD to boot into Repair Mode.
  2. Open a Command Prompt.
  3. Run this command to fix the disk problem:  chkdsk  c:  /R
  4. Boot into Repair Mode again.
  5. Do a System Restore.
