Problems downloading .wma files from Amazon

For some time I have downloaded music from Amazon, with the files going direct to Windows Media Player in WMA format. The last half dozen of downloads have suddenly appeared in MP3 format and when burnt to disc they will not play on my Sony CD system, which most definitely should play MP3. However, the burned disc WILL play on my car CD system. How can I get the Amazon downloads back to downloading in WMA format, which is brilliant for all my uses

OK, problem solved. The Auto Play dialogue box was not appearing and appears to have 'locked' into data CD option. When I tried to burn, the CD was not closing and ejecting automatically so I had to eject manually. Sometimes using a power off to get the CD to eject, often leaving me with a blank disc, although all indications were that the burn had taken place.  All settings now set to default all working fine. Many thanks to all who contributed and offered help and advice.
