No sound is heard in windows 7 32-bit, where previously it was working well. The sound card in not added in the setuo on windows 7 on vmware, where it works well on mac mini even now. Kindly suggest measures to solve the problem.

Hi,

I would you suggest you to follow below methods which may help you to resolve this issue:

Method 1: Audio Troubleshooter

Method 2:Try uninstalling and reinstalling sound card from device manager.

a. Click Start and type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotes), and then press Enter.

b. Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

c. Right click on the sound card and select Uninstall.

d. Restart the computer and Windows should now detect the sound card and install the sound drivers.

Method 3: Log on to the manufacturer website and update the latest audio drivers. Also, check to see if you have other device driver updates available.

Hi,

  • What is the make and model of the Sound Card?

I would suggest you to uninstall the Windows 7 sound card drivers and install the Windows Vista sound card drivers and check.
