Answer

Hi,

·         Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

·         Do you have any non Microsoft media player installed on your computer?

Method 1: I would suggest you run the Windows Media player settings troubleshooter if you have not tried and check if it helps:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Media-Player-Settings-troubleshooter

Method 2: You can also try rebuilding the Windows Media Player database and check if it fixes the issue:

a)      Exit Windows Media Player.

b)      Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

c)       Select all the files in the folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.

d)      Note: You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder.

e)      Restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If the above does not fix your issue then clear the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

a)   Exit Windows Media Player.

b)   Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

c)    Select the Media Player folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.

d)   Restart Windows Media Player.

Method 3: If above methods do not resolve the issue then I would suggest you create a new user account and check from it if issue persists:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Create-a-user-account

If issue does not persist from the new user account then you can fix the corrupted profile by following the link below:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.

Great! Thanks for marking this as the answer.
