Windows 7 Domain Logon Screen - Last Username

Is there a way to display the last logged on username in the classic domain logon screen?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

No, since the Administrator can set policies to clear the field box for the DOMAIN\Username each time at log on.

There is no domain policy deleting the last logged on username . On a windows xp pc that is connected to the domain the name is displayed. But in Windows 7 the last logged on username is not displayed. I would like it to be displayed when the classic domain logon screen is being used.

Is there a way to do this?

Which edition of Windows 7 is installed on the machine now?

If you are using Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate editions, you will have access to more functions that allow you to define certain settings for user accounts in Windows 7. Local Security Policy is a feature of these particular editions.

You can access it by clicking Start, type Local Security Policy

Then hit Enter on your keyboard.

Expand Local Policies

Click 'Security Options'

Double click Interactive logon: Display user information when the session is locked

Click in the list box and select the first option.

Click Apply and OK
