Starting Shared Folder Management Console and New Shares. Does just opening the new share wizard alter the firewall?

Out of curiousity, I started the Shared Folder Management console from a command prompt (run as administrator) and entered fsmgmt.msc ' at the command prompt.  The console started.  Also, I tried fsmgmt.msc 'a.  The console started again.  Does ' or 'a with fsmgmt.msc hurt the console or the shares?

Also, I clicked New Share and a pop-up window had a help link about the firewall and what ports would be changed for tcp and udp.  Does just opening the new share wizard alter the firewall?

Hi,

Launching the Management Console by typing ‘fsmgmt.msc’ in the run box or command prompt does not alter the shares in any way, it merely displays the Management Console and you can then create new shares or edit existing ones.

Opening the share wizard window by selecting New Share does not alter the firewall.
