Is PCCARE Support a scam?

I see there are other people thats been scamed by these people from PCCARE I to was taken for $199.99 for 2 comptures they told me it would take 60 to 90 mins would you belive I was on my comp for almost 6 hours and it still runs the same in fact the next day I had to resore them to even make them work

this morning starteing at about 8am I called 1-888-291-2869 and told them they had screwed up my comps and wanted my money back we will have to call you back its now been 5 hours with no kind of reply if anyone knows how I could get some or all my money back please send me all the info to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***  Thanks for any help I could get

Hi,

Probably was a scam. Posting a link to their website in a message here would probably
help others.

Be sure to contact your Bank or Credit Card Company.

888-291-2869 could be a 3rd party catch-all type line - check it in Google or Bing - which
is then forwarded to the actual "company" which is likely in a different country.

No, Microsoft would not call you unsolicited. Nor would they know if any errors existed on your
computer. So those are frauds or scams, to get your money or worse to steal your identity.

Avoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently - Microsoft does not make unsolicited
