You know when the computer prompts you to insert a blank disc of usb I insert a floppy and followed the set.. they are hp desktop & laptop.
AFAIK, HP have built-in recovery program, and when you restart the PC,
you only press F10 to enter HP Recovery Program and recovery the entire
machine to manufacturer settings etc. However, a recovery CD for backup,
can also be made using HP Tools, but for future backup I recommend,
that you buy Acronis® True Image Home 2010.
Anyway, for the reset disk just follow the steps I gave you in the “How do I”
part. If you cannot enter the PC, as your title describes it, then follow my first
If you have CDs from HP for the Desktop and you run Windows® 7 Home Premium
and your laptop has Windows® 7 Home Premium and, they both are OEM-licensed
Windows®, then it will work to use that on the HP laptop, AFAIK, from my test
with my HP computers.
