When I first enabled Microsoft parental controls on our Windows 7 system, it gave me a list of EXE files on the system and let me choose which programs to allow. However, now that Family Safety is enabled on the PC, it automatically blocks all programs that were installed after the day when I set up the parental controls. For example, World of Warcraft wasn't on the computer when I installed Family Safety. But now it's installed and it's always blocked on my daughter's user profile, but I can't find any way to tell Windows that she's allowed to run the program.
When she launches it, there's a dialog box that says it's blocked, with a link to ask for permission to launch it. If I enter my password to let the program load, the dialog box goes away, but the program never launches.
How do I tell Windows what programs my daughter can launch now that Family Safety's already running on the PC?
EDIT: Hmm, I guess the App Restrictions list updates occasionally, because now I see World of Warcraft listed, whereas it wasn't when I was attempting to give my daughter access. We still have two problems, though:
1) All World of Warcraft executables are marked as Allow in the app list (they were already marked as allowed), but Family Safety definitely blocks it.
2) Many times she has used that dialog to request access to different programs, but I've never received a single request in the Requests page of Family Safety. It just says "When (my daughter) wants access to something that's been blocked, their request appears here for you to approve or deny. "
