How do I copy Internet Explorer 8 settings to a new profile?

I have created a new profile in the process of correcting for a corrupted user profile. I have copied all of the files/folders from the corrupted profile to the new user profile (except the ntuser ones). I did this by loading the the hidden administrator account as follows:

(run cmd.exe as administrator and type

net user /administrator active:yes

I know I should make it inactive ASAP.

But in my new user profile, I would like not to have to copy all the IE security settings, trusted sites, etc from my old profile.

Is there a way to copy IE settings to the new profile?

Also, despite copying desktop, my new user profile desktop doesn't look anything like the old one. Easy to change, of course ...just curious.

Many thanks.
