Windows 7 firewall and sharing.

I have a program that is unable to work while windows 7 firewall is enabled. I have tried restoring the firewall to default and then repeatably allowing the program access. I have tried the more advanced options and they still do not work. I have resorted to installing a third party software firewall and behold I have found out I cannot disable windows 7 firewall AND disable network sharing and file sharing.

This is super poor design. I do not want networking sharing or file sharing on at all. What am I supposed to do in this situation?

Hello Desmos – Welcome to Microsoft Answers Community.

To disable Windows® Firewall from Command Prompt, I suggest you
run the CMD as Administrator and type one of the following commands:

To Disable Windows® Firewall

netsh firewall set opmode disable

To Enable Windows® Firewall

netsh firewall set opmode enable

For the other parts, I would like you to elaborate more, thanks!
