Windows firewall access - BitTorrent

Hey,

On my computer I have bittorrent and for the longest time it was working perfectly fine. I was able to download torrents quickly and easily but recently I haven't been able to download any at all. I get this message "Error opening Windows firewall: 0x80070005 Access is denied". I never got it before this just randomly started happening. I am not the greatest with computers so I was wondering if anyone could provide a step by step process to solving this problem.

Some information that may be important: BitTorrent is installed on my laptop and I use a wireless connection to the internet

Thank you

Hi leeriz68,

     Try the below methods:

1.      Run online scanner to check any malware or virus activity. Below link will help you run free scan on the computer.

Steps to follow:

i.           Click the Start button, and then type cmd in the search box.

In the search results list, right-click cmd, and then click Run as Administrator.

ii.         At the command prompt, type net user administrator /active:yes, and then press ENTER.

iii.       Type net user administrator <Password> and then press ENTER.

Note:  Please replace the <Password> tag with your passwords which you want to set to administrator account.

If this works fine then, the user profile has gone corrupt. Follow the steps listed below in the link to fix the corrupted user account: fix a corrupted user account: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

3.      You can perform system restore. Restore the system to the date it was working fine. Below link will help you perform System restore: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/System-Restore-frequently-asked-questions
