windows photo viewer saves picture as hidden file

When I view a Jpeg file in Windows Photo viewer and rotate the image then close down the viewer to save the new rotation, it hides the file and the only way to view it is to check "view hidden files" in the folder properties. Anyone heard of this before? I have just done a fresh install of Windows on my hard drive and the problem still happens. Am I doing something wrong? It has never happened to me before. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: I am using Windows 7, 32 bit.

Answer
Answer
Yes...this is currently an issue and 'Show Hidden
Files' is the only soluton I am aware of at this time.

When the photo thumbs reappear...they may look
washed out...to clear that up...right click one photo
or a selected group and choose...Properties...
uncheck the box "Hidden" / Apply / OK.
