Windows Media Player is not working in Windows 7.

Always worked before but suddenly stopped. Same symptoms as SamarDesai. Followed  Vinod's answer but scan said no problem detected. Media player still not responding. Please advise...

Open Windows Media Player Library troubleshooter

Open Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter

 

Method 2:

You may try to turn off and turn on Windows media player and check if it helps.

Step 1:

a. Click on “Start” and in the search type "Turn Windows features On or Off".

b. Click on "Turn Windows features On or Off".

c. Browse to the Media Features and uncheck the mark in front of Windows Media player.

d. Restart the computer.

Step 2:

a. Click on “Start” and in the search type "Turn Windows features On or Off".

b. Click on "Turn Windows features On or Off".

c. Browse to the Media Features and place a check mark in front of Windows Media player.

d. Restart the Computer.
