Question

Q: Windows Media Player Error C00D11CD when trying to play ripped audio tracks

Windows Media Player Error C00D11CD: Unknown Error...can it be fixed?

A couple of days ago this error came up when i tried to play songs that i had ripped from other CDs. Literally not a day before then the songs were working just fine. The songs that I obtained within file transfers still work, but about 80 percent of all my songs I got from CDs, so it kinda sucks. Does anyone out there know what can be done, if anything, to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Hi Ronstar258,

The error C00D11CD usually occurs when another program or operating system component that is used by the Player encounters a problem, but unfortunately, doesn't communicate the nature of the problem to the Player. Because this generic message can be displayed in a wide variety of situations, there is no single solution.

But you may check if the issue appears in the new user account. You may also check after logging in as an administrator if face any issues in the administrator login or not.

For additional assistance you may refer to the link - Create a new user account-
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Create-a-user-account

If you do not face the issue in new user account then it might be an issue with the user account. It may have gone corrupt or is not working properly. I would suggest you to refer to the below mentioned link to fix a corrupted user profile and follow the steps provided-
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Hope this helps.
