Windows 7 will not use my video card drivers

I have tried numerous video cards in my HP p6310f desktop.  They were older units so I decided to buy a new one.  I got a Galaxy GeForce 8400 GS PCI-Express X16, and after installing got the same issue as all the others.  Windows 7 will only let me use the Standard VGA driver and will not accept the 8400 drivers.  I am wanting to use 2 monitors, but I can't get it to detect the other port.  Please help.  Thank you

1. What exactly happens when you try to install the driver for Galaxy GeForce?
2. What happens when you try to setup dual monitor?
3. “after installing got the same issue as all the others” What is the issue?
 
If you are getting any error messages then, please post back the exact and complete error message. This might help us in assisting you better.

Step 1: Try running hardware and devices troubleshooter and check.

Step 2: Check if the monitor gets detected in screen resolution window.
a. Click on Start button > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Screen Resolution
