technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a

Windows 7 RTM / Realtek HD Audio drivers not installing correctly.
I have a macbook pro, and I have been told that I need to install the latest Realtek HD audio drivers, as the drivers included on the OSX cd are not the right ones.
I have downloaded both the executable installer for the drivers, and the zip file, but whichever way I approach it, after installation and restarting, I'm left with a little red x over my audio icon in the bottom right, no sound, and after a quick diagnostic
I'm told that there is a problem with the Realtek driver.
The windows HD audio driver, which it reverts to if I ask windows to "fix" the problem does not give me any sound out of my speakers, no microphone usage, and is just otherwise awful.
Why am I having trouble getting the drivers to work?

You may check with the vendor for the the AC'97 Audio Codecs for install instructions or a Read me file for the audio driver setup. You may also provide the model number of the audio chip on your motherboard to the vendor for further information
regarding the audio driver install instructions.
