Windows 7 64 bit - Windows Media Center Not Working

After activating Windows Home Server's media sharing, I went to my Windows 7 64bit machines and tried to start Windows Media Center.  After running through the WMC Connector setup, rebooting, and then clicking on Windows Media Center, I get:

"Windows Media Center has stopped working."

It says it is looking for a solution, but after a few seconds it goes away and doesn't come back.

I never get the chance to set anything, or even see if it is connecting or not.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Reinstall WMC and that should fix in most of the cases.

1. Open Control Panel -> Programs and Features.

2. Click Turn Windows features on or off in the left pane.

3. Expand Media Features, uncheck Windows Media Center. Click Yes to continue, and click OK to quit. Then Restart.

4. Open Turn Windows features on or off again. Turn on the features Windows Media Center. Restart the computer.

5. Launch Windows Media Center, initialize the program.
