Using Speech Recognition in Windows 7 to transcribe a recording
I have just activated and trained MS Speech Recognition on my Windows 7 PC - works great! I'd like to use it to create text transcriptions from recordings of speeches I've given - short of putting the microphone in front of the speakers while I play back
the speech, is there another way to do this? For example, is there a way to tell Speech Recognition to take its input from Windows Media Player rather than from the microphone?
The text transcriptions from recordings of speeches feature is not available by default. There are third party offerings available that
you can search using your favorite search engine.
Note:The third-party programs are independent of Microsoft. Microsoft makes no warranty,
implied or otherwise, regarding the performance or reliability of these products. If you need support relating to the non–Microsoft technology, please contact the manufacturer directly.
