Trying to sync music error - unable to get the device certificate -C00D11E3

Original title:C00D11E3

I tried to sync music  from my laptop to my brand new Sony Walkman NWZ-B153 MP3 player, but all I got was a whole load of red crosses down the left side of the track info lines.

When I left clicked on one of the crosses, it said," unable to get the device certificate" whatever that means, plus the error code, C00D11E3.

I had a Sony MP3 player before and I was able to download music o problem. So why the problem with this brand new one??

Answer

Hi Garry,

1)   How are you trying to sync?

2)   Are you using any software supplied by the device manufacturer to sync?

Since you were able to sync your older MP3 player (From the same manufacturer) on the same computer, there could some settings within the new MP3 player.

Unable to get the device certificate, may indicate that the device is locked by the manufacturer.

You may want to check with Sony for any known issues

You may download Windows Mobile Device Center and check, for more information please refer the links below
