Problems with Sonic Stage ;-(

Dear All,

I had to change computers, as the previous one died, and I'm now using Windows 7 64bit. And with this one my Sonic Stage programme for Sony NW-S203F mp3 player constantly refuses to work. It worked the first time I installed it but then I had the Error code 00004e2e. I googled it out and tried different things to get rid of it but nothing worked. I uninstalled the programme and downloaded the newest version from the official Sony website but now it doesn't open at all - apparently there is a problem with compatibility. But I tried making it compatible with Windows XP - still nothing ;-(

I would appreciate any help!

Answer

Hi,

Did you install sonic stage in Windows XP compatibility mode?

Sonic stage is not compatible with Windows7 and they are still working with the software publisher to confirm this product’s compatibility.

Here is the link to check compatibility:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=sonicstage

As a work around, uninstall all the sonic related software’s by using Windows installer clean up utility, here is the link:

 http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

And then try installing sonic stage software in Windows XP compatibility mode and check if it helps, here is the link:
