panasonic photofunstudio 5.1 hd edition running on windows 7 unable to copy pictures to other files

Camera - Lumix DMC-TZ10
Program - Pansonic Photofunstudio 5.1HD edition

Unable to copy folders or individual files (jpeg) to other foders outside photofun - system/pictures seem to have a lock on them, older version of program running on windows vista, no problems with copying.

·         What exactly happens when you try copying files/folders?

·         Do you receive any error message or error code?

·         Were you able to perform the same task before?

 

Follow the suggestions listed below for a possible fix:

 

Method 1: If you have set the lock on the folder then you may follow the steps and check.

 

a.       Right click on the folder

b.      Select Share with and open Specific people

c.       Add your user name and click Share

 

Method 2: This seems to be permission issue. Try the steps below and check if it helps.

 

Step 1: Make sure that you have given proper permissions following the steps mentioned below:

 

How to Take Ownership in Windows 7:

 

a.       Locate the file or folder on which you want to take ownership in windows explorer.

b.      Right click on file or folder and select“Properties” from Context Menu.

c.       Click on Security tab.

d.      Click on “Advanced”.

e.      Now click on Owner tab in Advance Security Settings for User windows

f.        Click on Edit Button and select user from given Change Owner to list if user or group is not in given list then click on other users or groups. Enter name of user/group and click ok.

g.       Now select User/group and click apply and ok. (Check “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects” if you have files and folder within selected folder)

h.      Click ok when Windows Security Prompt is displayed

i.         Now Owner name must have changed.

j.        Now click Ok to exist from Properties windows

 

Once you have taken the ownership of file or folder next part comes is Granting Permissions to that file/folder or object.

 

How to Grant Permissions in Windows 7

 

a.       Locate the file or folder on which you want to take ownership in windows explorer

b.      Right click on file or folder and select “Properties” from Context Menu

c.       Click on Edit button in Properties windows Click ok to confirm UAC elevation request.

d.      Select user/group from permission windows or click add to add other user or group.

e.      Now under Permission section check the rights which you want to grant i.e. check “Full Control” under the “Allow” column to assign full access rights control permissions to Administrators group.

f.        Click Ok for changes to take effect and click ok final ok to exit from Properties window.
