Missing Windows Live Messenger plug-in in Windows Media Player?

I've checked under the Now Playing category for Plug-ins and there's nothing there. In my program files, I have the msgrapp.14.0.8117.0416 and psmsong.14.0.8117.0416 files. So I don't know what I'm missing... Is there any way I can add this plug-in to WMP?

Also, the Windows Live Messenger plug-in will show up in the  Background   category, not Now Playing .
