iXtreme Packard Bell 16621 UK: No sound coming through speakers or headset

Hey

I restored my computer to an earlier date to fix one problem, which has now caused another... I can get into doing stuff for about 2 hours - then all audio will cut out completely.  Unfortunately, I haven't really found anything that helps.. I saw some previous threads similar to this and I tried going into device manager and right clicking and checking for updates on my audio drivers... it told me that my drivers were up to date.   A restart fixes my problem, then it starts again after a period of time.  Also - when i go to play music, it doesn't continually skip until giving me a error message about a problem with my sound card.

Heres a dxdiag report

Answer

Hey Andrew,

Rather than trying to update driver from Device Manager using Windows Update, please download and install the driver given here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

See if you find any improvement.
