Answer

Hey bharat kapoor,

Ø Do you get this error on all wmv files?

Ø What about other file formats?

Ø Do you have DVD XCopy Platinum software installed?

Getting the latest driver for video card should fix the error code given by you.

1.    If DVD XCopy Platinum software 321 Studios is installed on your computer, it can also cause this error. Try removing this software to see if this fixes this error.

2.    If reinstalling your video card drivers does not help then this can be caused by one of the decoders installed on the computer such as Elecard MPEG-2 decoder. Disable/Uninstall the same for test purpose.

3.    Put your computer in clean boot configuration to disable all third party software and startup items. Play those wmv files in Windows Media Player and see if the error disappears.

Refer: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: Ensure that you put your computer back to normal startup mode after completing the troubleshooting steps. Steps are available in the article given above.
