DVD maker won't accept any video files to burn. Error message The file .... wmv or avi is not a supported file type and it cannot be imported

Original Title: DVD maker won't accept any video files to burn. It won't accept .avi, .mov, mpg, and others. It will accept .jpg, but how can one make a movie with still photos?

I have installed, removed, and reinstalled movie maker and Windows DVD maker.  I have converted my files to avi, mpg, mov and back again. Still not recognized in Windows DVD maker.

Error message The file .... wmv or avi is not a supported file type and it cannot be imported.

Any idea what to do now?

Answer

Hi,

·         Were you able to make DVD’s using Windows DVD Maker earlier?

·         Was there any changes made to the computer before the issue occurred?

You may try changing the video filter settings and check if that helps to burn the DVD. Follow the below given links for the same.
