Can't mix down audio in Windows 7 (record what you hear) Help! Using Sonar 8.5 and Sound Forge Audio Studio.

I guess I will have to go back to Windows XP for Home Audio Recording? I've been playing with Windows 7 for over a year, and it just won't work for audio recording. It works fine for multitrack recording, but when you try to mix down in stereo to another program, it doesn't work. I guess it's one of their new security features (like the folders you can't open on your own computer)? Windows XP worked great for this. I was really stupid to upgrade. I thought it would work better. I'm $500+ into trying to make win7 work with my stuff. I have bought new programs, everything. I guess I will have to abandon Windows 7?
