Random peices of my pictures in Windows Live Gallery

I just transferred back to PC from Mac and am using my old iPod Video as an external disk to transfer music and photos. All of my photos are now in my new computer, but in the Windows Live Photo Gallery, it also displays small random peices of my photos-for example-part of someone's face or the scene. I have the whole photo also, but I don't understand why little peices of them are here and there all of the gallery. No clue how they got there or how to get rid of them. Does anyone know how to fix this?? Do I just have to go through all of them and delete manually the distorted peices?
