Windows 7 Ultimate the pix icons show the editing program not the picture content of the file. I want the icon to show the picture that it represents.

How can I get Windows 7 desktop icon or in a folder icon to show the picture (photograph) that it represents.  Be it Jpeg, RAX. BMP or whatever?

I would suggest you to follow these steps.

To change how items appear in a folder

1.      Open the folder that you want to change.

2.      Click the arrow next to the Views button on the toolbar.

3.      Click a view or move the slider to change the appearance of your files and folders
