Question

Q: How to find Windows media Center This thread is locked from future replies

I am asking this on behalf of my friend who came to me for help because he is hardly computer literate.

Home Premium Win 7. About 4 months old.
He said at one time he was playing around with Windows media center, thinking that it was Media Player.
Today he realizes that he cannot find WMC any more.

I told him about Vista method of locating ehshell.exe ...
Start > search box, enter ehome > Enter > scroll the list for it.
It did not work for him. Entering ehome in search box did not bring up
C:\windows\ehome window.

Can someone please tell me how to call  up WMC ? Thank you.

Answer

A:

Go manually to the ehome directory and copy the ehshell.exe to your desktop. You can rename the shortcut now to Media Center if you want.
