Windows 7 x64 - Large Tiff files crash my machine

Hello,

I have an issue when browsing folders containing large Tiff files in Explorer. The moment I open the folder, my system freezes up forcing me to restart.

A google search shows that I am not the only one with this problem. I have also tried the suggestions listed here but had no luck resolving the problem:

I'm on a core i7 machine with 4gb of dd4 ram - and have never had issues like this with vista or xp. As a photographer who is constantly working with tiffs, this is really unacceptable for me! I've wasted countless hours on restarts already.

Any advice would be extremely appreciated! Thank you!
