Win 7: incrementing previous backup and restore error "Windows Backup has not been set up", and that "Windows could not find a backup for this computer"

*-Original Title - Win 7: incrementing previous backup and restore

Last week, I performed a 'Backup and Restore' on my 64-bit Win 7 computer, creating a 118GB WindowsImageBackup folder on an external HDD.

As I wish to incrementally backup the same material on a weekly basis, I sought to do the first incremental backup this morning.

However, my Control Panel\System and Security\'Backup and Restore' menu tells me that "Windows Backup has not been set up", and that "Windows could not find a backup for this computer", although the external HDD is attached and recognised.

How can I set B&R to incrementally perform the same backup that I performed last week?  I don't want to schedule it to run regularly, but will do this manually.

Thank you,

Colin
