Using BCD to dual boot Windows 7 and Linux on two separate hard drives

I have scoured the Internet for weeks and weeks trying to find an answer to this question with as yet no success whatsoever.

What I would like to know is:

Is it possible to use BCD to boot both Windows 7 and Linux, with Windows 7 installed on hard drive 1 and Linux installed on hard drive 2?  If so, how do you prepare Linux beforehand, ie does Grub need to be on the Linux root partition or does it need to be on the second hard drive's MBR, and what are the bcdedit commands needed to add an entry for Linux to the Windows 7 boot menu?

Answer
One might consider reading more closely the actual problem before flaming.

Someone wants Windows BCD to load *from another spindle* for the PBR or MBR on the OS on that other drive.
Unless there's an undoc'd BCD parameter, it can only handle booting other partitions on the same physical spindle it's on.
