Q: Runtime Error! R6025 This thread is locked from future replies

For the past week, on startup of windows 7 IE 10, I have been receiving this error:

Runtime Error! Program: C\Windows\SysWOW64\Dll Host.exe R6025 pure virtual function call

I have no idea what it is or what to do. I just click OK and the message goes away.

Computer seems to be functioning well in spite of it.

I solved the problem by running check disk.

Did this solve your problem?

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community forums.

Did you make anny changes on the computer prior to the issue?

Runtime Error R6025 error occurs when your application indirectly calls a pure virtual member function in a context where a call to the function is not valid. In most cases, the compiler detects this and reports the error when building the application. But depending on how your code is written, sometimes the problem is detected only at run-time.

Method 1:
Place the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
Note: After trouble shooting put the computer to start as usual by performing step 3 from the Knowledge Base article.

Method 2:
Download and install it and check if helps:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
