I have window 7 and every time I turn on the computer 32 bits turns to 8 bits. Why does it do that and what can I do to get it correct.
I set it it to 32 and save it but it doesn't help.

Sorry for the delay in reply.

Kindly set the color to 32-bit as it is the most suitable color mode supported by the monitor. Changing the color to 16-bit or lower will reduce the number of colors and so you'll see strange/abnormal colors appearing.

"32 bits turns to 8 bits". Do you mean the color on the display or the application architecture? If you mean it's architecture, kindly run SFC. Refer the following link for more details: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Additionally, run a trusted antivirus software to scan for any malware. You can also run an scanners like MalwareBytes.
