Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

since last night, every time I click internet explorer this message pops up " Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library, This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more info. that's why my internet won't launch. pls help

1.        Since when are you facing this issue?

2.        Does the issue occur only when you try to open Internet Explorer?

3.        How are you trying to open Internet Explorer?

 

 

You may try this steps and check:

 

 

Method 1:

Try opening Internet Explorer from program files if not yet tried.

a) Browse to the following location:”C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

b) Double click on the .exe file.

c) Check if you are able to open Internet Explorer.

 

 

Method 2:

Open Internet Explorer in No Add-on mode and then check:

Follow the steps to open Internet Explorer in No Add-on Mode.

a. Press “Windows Key + R”.

b. Type “iexplore –extoff” without quotes in the Run Window and hit enter.

c. Now the Internet Explorer will open in No Add-on mode.

 

 

Method 3:

This error may occur due to a program using Visual C++.

You can uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Step 1: To uninstall the package:

a. Open Programs and Features.

b. From the list, find Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and click on it.

c. Click Uninstall at the top of the list.


Step 2:
Download and install the latest package to see if it helps.
