i had a pc with 2.4 ghz p4 processor 1 gb ram and windows 7 ultimate 32 bit but its fan is running high and pc usage is 50 to 100 % with nothing running

No, the physical RAM in your system is too low.  1gb RAM is the minimum recommended amount just to start Windows up at all.  Also, a Pentium 4 processor (assuming that's what you have) is very anemic compared to Windows 7 needs.  It sounds like your computer just barely meets the minimum requirements for Windows 7 and is performing exactly as a minimum-standard computer would ... poorly.

Hi Umang,

 

Like Richard G. Harper says, you are running Windows 7 on a bare minimum hardware requirement. I request you to add more physical memory so that the computer becomes faster and more efficient.

 

It is also the same reason why the fan is running continuously and the RAM usage is so high. There are many background processes that will be running, even if you haven’t launched any programs.

 

Hence, we recommend you to increase the RAM size. Hope this information is helpful.
