How can I make Windows 7 automatically create restore points?

Original Title:

I tried to do a system restore earlier but was told that I had no restore points. How do I make Windows 7 automatically make restore points?

This happened after I got a couple of "Page Fault In Nonpaged Area" bluescreens, and I'm still working on that.

1. What happens when you try to create restore point manually?
2. Why do you want to perform a system restore?
Step 1:
Check whether Volume Shadow Copy Service, System Restore Service is started and Set to Automatic
a) Type Services.msc in Start Menu search box, hit Enter.
b) Make sure that the Volume Shadow Copy Service is Running and set on Automatic.
c) If the Status of System Restore Service is not Started, Start it. Also set it on Automatic if it is not.
d) Restart your computer.
e) Now try to do a system restore.
Step 2:
A restore point is a representation of a stored state of your computer's system files. You can use a restore point to restore your computer's system files to an earlier point in time. Restore points are automatically created by System Restore weekly and when System Restore detects the beginning of a change to your computer, such as when you install a program or a driver.
