Genuine Windows 7 Error Message

I began getting an error message that my PC didn't have genuine windows 7 and don't understand why.  I've  had this PC for over 2 yrs and never had this problem.  What happened?  Please help!

Thanks for your help. I didn't see your answer until now.  I ended up using a system restore to recover my Windows 7 when I knew it worked.  After I restored it, it let me enter the orginal product key that I received when I bought my computer and the activation was successful.  All seems to be working fine now.  Thanks for your help.  I'm keeping those instructions for future use.
