Error 1079 while starting the audio service

Original Title: ERROR 1079

no sound, cant play games and computer is slow since I had to purchase the microsoft office 10 so I could get into my files.   I have gone to the audio service and it has been stopped.   it will not restart. it gives me error 1079. says the account specifiied is not the same as the others.

1.      Which game you are referring to?

2.      What happens when you play games?

3.      Are you getting any error message while playing games?

4.      Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

 

Please follow the methods listed below.

 

Method 1:

Follow the steps listed below.

a)      Click on “Start”, type services.msc and press Enter.

b)      Double-click on "Windows Audio" service.

c)      Click on the “Log On” tab.

d)     Click on “Local System account”, and then click on “OK”.

e)      Right-click on "Windows Audio" service, and then click on start.

f)       Follow the same steps for "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" service.

g)      Check if the issue persists.

 

Method 2:

If you are getting error 1079 while starting the Audio service, follow the steps from the link mentioned below.

Method 3:

For issues related to games, let’s test the issue in clean boot.
