Windows 7 XP Mode Networking problem

I use some older productivity programs in my office that only run on XP. I bought a new computer with Windows 7 Professional and downloaded and installed XP Mode and Virtual PC. This is working fine, but I cannot connect to my network in XP mode. I can connect in Windows 7 mode and see and connect to all the other computers (all XP) on my network, but I can't connect in XP Mode. Help.

Then start the virtual PC.
