Windows 7 Dial Up - Connection failed with error 621__

I have set up a windows 7 dialup connection.  When I try to connect it gives the error:

      Connection failed with error 621
The system could not open the phone book file.

Help please.

Paul.

Hi,

The file rasphone.pbk might be missing or corrupt,

Note Dial-up networking uses the phonebook file: rasphone.pbk which should be in the Windows\system32\RAS folder. Make sure the file is in this folder.

Search for the files if the file is missing, remove and re-install networking components including dial-up networking, and check if the issue gets fixed.

Follow this below link to setup network connection in windows 7.

Hi Jason,

since this thread is over 2 years old, I doubt that community member is around for a response. I would recommend starting a new thread with all your system information and details available.
