Windows 7 cannot access a XP PC on same workgroup

I have a new Windows 7 home premium 64 bits connected to my wireless router to which my old PC (XP home SP3) is connected too.

From the XP no problem to ping and see the Windows 7 PC, BUT, from Win 7 PC I don't see the XP. Both have the same workgroup defined!

Can somebody help?!

Hi NimrodS,

§  What happens when you try to ping from Windows 7, do you get any error message?

§  Did you run the Network troubleshooter?

Please see the link below for more information on how to run Network troubleshooter on Windows 7 to help and diagnose Network connections.

I would suggest you to Turn on network discovery on Windows 7 and check.

1.       Open Advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and Sharing Center, and then, in the left pane, click Change advanced sharing settings.

2.       Click the chevron to expand the current network profile.

3.       If network discovery is off, under Network discovery, click Turn on network discovery, and then click Save changes. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
