While using AIM I get the error code 10053.

I've been using Trillian for my Chat programs but for ht elast 2 weeks AIM has been shutting down both on it's program and on Trillian, at random intervals (roughly every 10 to 20 minutes)  Everytime it says that it has an error code 10053.

 

I have updated my drivers, for Trillian, Aim, My router, and my computer and windows drivers.  Nothing seems to help no matter what I do. Everything else is fine thou, Yahoo, MSN, IRc Mail, internet and any Streaming, Just AIM is having the issues.

Let us reset the Winsock and check if that helps in resolving the issue.
To do this, follow these steps:
a. Click Start, and in Start Search, type cmd.
b. Right-click the cmd entry that appears in the search results, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
c. At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:
netsh winsock reset
Then, you should see the following message:
Successfully reset the Winsock Catalog. You must restart the computer in order to complete the reset.
d. Restart the computer.

Note If you receive an “Access Denied” error message instead of the message that is mentioned in step c, the command prompt was not correctly elevated. In this case, close the Command Prompt window, and repeat steps 1 through 3. Make sure that you correctly implement step b.
