Unable to connect Windows 7 with Windows XP using Remote Desktop Connection

I'm trying to use Remote Desktop Connection to connect through my wireless Internet router from my Windows 7 64-bit laptop to my other Windows XP desktop which is wired into my router. I will fill in the computer day and I do not have a username and password set up but I'm still prompted to enter one. When I do not enter a username and password, it kicks me out with a message that it's unable to connect. That said, am I doing something entirely wrong or is there a problem elsewhere?

Thank you much… Bruce

Basith,

You can do it , but I am NOT recommend it because in that case if someone have your IP Address then could access your Windows using remote desktop. And people could use IP random generator find find IP and when there is NO Password could access it . therefore please use password and setup password to connect.

However , you could setup setting to connect with blank password :

1)go to control panel

2)administrative tools

3)look for local security policy

4)open it and look for security options

5)then in account you will see something like "Limit loca account use of blank password to console logon only

6)try to disable it and restart your PC

It should work, but as I said it might put your PC at RISK.

I hope it helps you to resolve the issue, also keep me posted incase you need further help

Thanks,
