network problems windows 7 not able to connect with a wired connection to modem or router while others can connect wirelessly

hello i recently upgraded two computers with windows 7 one of the computer is connected to a modem and router and the other is wirelessly connecting to the network however on the computer that is connected to the modem and router it says connection to the internet has failed but the router and modem are connected to the internet and there are no problems with them so my question is why is the computer telling me that there is no connection and it also says that im currently connected to two unidentified networks when before i upgraded it , it just said i was connected to one
