Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration

I don't have the "Bonjour" entry.  I have a TimeWarner cable w/std modem for broadband. What else do I check to see if it is a Windows 7 issue?  I can start my computer 10 times, 4-6 times it will not access the internet and give this message.  I have stopped the Kaperski anti-virus during start-up; that seemed to help, but now we are back to this very annoying and disruptive connectivity issue.  Is there a WINDOWS 7 patch or fix for this?
Answer
Answer

"Bonjour" entry?

Download and install the latest network device driver from the network device manufacturer.
