Question

Q: inbound connection limit

Hi

What is the inbound connection limit to shares in Windows 7. It's 5 for xp home and 10 for xp prof what is it for the different versions of win7?

regards

Jonathan

Answer

A:

Go to Start > Run and type winver in the command window. Click on Microsoft Software License Terms, then scroll down to Section 3e. For Windows 7 Home Premium your allowed up to 20 simultaneous connections for file/print sharing, IIS, ICS and telephoney services.

Now when you say inbound connections are you talking about a VPN? AFAIK the limit on inbound connections to the native PPTP VPN server is still one.
