Hi, this is driving me nuts, I am always losing internet connection with the above error message.  I do the troubleshooter, which resets local adaptor and I have my internet connection back again, but always only for a few minutes if that, then I have to do it all again.... It's driving me NUTTTTSSSS SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi,

1. Which troubleshooter did you run?

2. Was it working fine earlier on this computer?

3. Did you make any changes on the computer before this issue started?

Follow these methods and check.

Method 1:

Wired and wireless network connection problems in Windows

Method 2:

Step 1:

Perform Clean Boot and check.

To help troubleshoot error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Please note:  After the troubleshooting, make sure to boot your computer to normal mode by following the step 7.

Step 2:

You may also temporarily disable security software and check if the issue persists. Make sure to enable that security software on the computer after checking.

If disabling the security software resolves the issue then, please contact the specific security software manufacturer to resolve the issue.

Important Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Hi there and thanks for replying. When I lose my internet, it shows with a yellow triangle box so I click on it, go to troubleshoot problems then diagnose and repair network problems. It then goes on and resets the local area connection. I have no idea why this is happening.  It is a dell xps desktop.
