Question

Q: Error ID 8033 - 'A browser has forced an election on network ... because a master browser has stopped'

original title: Error ID 8033

I have been dealing with a problem on my new netbook since I got it a few months ago. Randomly, I will lose connection to my WLAN, today I finally decided to find out why. In Event Viewer I see a INFORMATION level event right before I lost my connection at ~10:06. The Error ID is 8033 and:

The browser has forced an election on network \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{C5365AF8-A829-46B5-9C9A-F20BC89F96DC} because a master browser was stopped.

is under the GENERAL and:

- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
- <System>
<Provider Name="BROWSER" />
<EventID Qualifiers="16384">8033</EventID>
<Level>4</Level>
<Task>0</Task>
<Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords>
<TimeCreated SystemTime="2012-06-24T05:05:39.000000000Z" />
<EventRecordID>308703</EventRecordID>
<Channel>System</Channel>
<Computer>Troy-Acer-PC</Computer>
<Security />
</System>
- <EventData>
<Data>\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{C5365AF8-A829-46B5-9C9A-F20BC89F96DC}</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>

is under DETAILS. This is then followed by 2 1014 DNS Client Events( You know, cause I have no WLAN connection).

Warning 6/23/2012 10:06:08 PM DNS Client Events 1014 None
Warning 6/23/2012 10:05:56 PM DNS Client Events 1014 None
Information 6/23/2012 10:05:39 PM BROWSER 8033 None

Why is this happening?

WIndows 7 Home 64bit
Acer Aspire One 722
